Weezer - "Perfect Situation"




Well, here we go again. I thought I would review this song by Weezer. I know it's been out for a while but, I don't care, this is my little world and you just visit it once and a while(kind of like Nebraska, does anyone really live there?)

The band Weezer is what I call a "just right band". There music is not very technical, their vocals are not that great, but for some reason they are just right. The song writing is top notch as seen in this example of "Perfect Situation".

Rivers Cuomo(lead singer, who is from CT) has a great ability to create songs that from a first listen are mediocre, but after a few listens they stick like glue. They are thought provoking and catchy at the same time. The hook in the chorus is a simple one, but effective. The music is written in a way that will keep the interest of musicians and thrill the masses. Weezer is truly the kings of geek chic rock.

Even though I used this song, if you listen to any one of their songs, the same applies, they are "JUST RIGHT".

This review is like the band, short, sweet, simple, but yet appealing.

    see,thats the problem with music snobs, they can only listen to one style and not the whole gambit. Is Pink Floyd Rock? Open you mind and ears.

    Ummm... MUSIC SNOBS? Ok Mr. "All I ever wanted is between the letters V and H". Please... give us all a break and stick to the only band you really know anything about, Van Halen, Van Hagar, Van Shurone, Van Halen.

    Of all the bands to comment on Weezer. how about a new band like Halestorm. Stay away from the Girlie bands. YES! the FRAY does bring out the femine side in me but i like it.I even listen to Weezer! Try again! lets read about Mastodon,sevendust,disturbed, and alike.

    I like Weezer. They are very good. But I think maybe the reading audience here is not Weezer fans. Maybe they need to go back to 1985 and have Biff Tannen wash their Deloreans. Maybe they have the complete series of Mr. Belvedere on VHS because they can't get a handle on those newfangled "video CD players". Maybe they get into car accidents because their huge 80s hair impedes their vision. Maybe they think Tawny Kitaen climbing out the window of a moving vehicle is still the pinnacle of hotness. Remember when a bowl of soup was a nickel?
